Working Landscapes of America
This critical inquiry seminar explores the history of agricultural landscapes in North America from colonization to present day. Lectures and discussions address the evolution of conventional and alternative paradigms of food, feed and fiber production. Through archival research and selected readings, students will craft an Agricultural Atlas that graphically examines agriculture's impact on ecosystems, infrastructure and urban development across time.
Advanced topics in graduate research and theory.
Prereq: 7780 (740). Instructor consent required. Repeatable to a maximum of 12 cr hrs or 4 completions.
