The program is designed to introduce and teach students the concepts of humanitarian engineering through a practical, real-world service-learning experience. Students will collaborate with an established in-country partner to bring useful, sustainable technologies. The program consists of a semester-long course, during which students will assess needs, and then design, develop, prototype, test and document their projects. During a two-week in-country trip, the students will implement and evaluate these projects
Prereq: Permission of the instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 6 credit hours or 3 completions.
