Training Modules to Prepare for Community Service grants for service-learning

The Service-Learning Initiative identifies information and resources to assist faculty, students, and community to engage in positive service-learning experiences. Print and web-based information and consultation are available to assist with preparing students and partners for successful service experiences.

The Youth Connection: Preparing to Work with Children and Teens Youth Connection

University students preparing for community service projects focused on youth can review this series of interactive, research-based training modules. Selections on Communication, Motivation, Behavior Guidance, and Relationships provide basic concepts and video clips to illustrate them as well asscenarios to allow students to choose among possible responses to common situations that arise in working with youth in community and school settings.
