Description This course examines leadership in the context of service and community involvement. Students will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of service and leadership for the "common good," analyze the setting in which service takes place, actively participate in a community service setting for a minimum of three hours a week, gain hands on knowledge, skills, and experience about a specific community organization and develop their own leadership style and skills in a community setting. The purpose of this course is to prepare students for a lifetime of engaged, responsible and active community involvement and leadership. Students provide homework help, support food pantry clients, etc.
