Advisory Committee
The Service-Learning Initiative Advisory Committee is chosen from constituencies representing the major stakeholders in service-learning: students, faculty, and community organizations. Advisory Commmittee members are asked to represent, as much as possible, the best interest of the constituency they represent, as well as the best interests of all.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on the Request for Proposals and grant award process
- Advise on grant proposals or other efforts to fund or institutionalize service-learning at Ohio State University
- Advise on workshops and other events designed to increase student, faculty, and community capacity for service-learning
- Increase awareness of the Service-Learning Initiative and service-learning as a pedagogy and community capacity building strategy to others in the constituency represented and to the community as a whole
- Inform the Service-Learning Initiative of related initiatives and activities of the constituency represented and the community and university at large.
