Advisory Committee

The Service-Learning Initiative Advisory Committee is chosen from constituencies representing the major stakeholders in service-learning: students, faculty, and community organizations. Advisory Commmittee members are asked to represent, as much as possible, the best interest of the constituency they represent, as well as the best interests of all.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations on the Request for Proposals and grant award process
  • Advise on grant proposals or other efforts to fund or institutionalize service-learning at Ohio State University
  • Advise on workshops and other events designed to increase student, faculty, and community capacity for service-learning
  • Increase awareness of the Service-Learning Initiative and service-learning as a pedagogy and community capacity building strategy to others in the constituency represented and to the community as a whole
